Wardrobe systems - TOP-130 photos and videos of wardrobe system options. Pros and cons of the wardrobe, features of types of designs

In modern life, wardrobe systems for most people have ceased to be a luxury, and have become a necessary attribute of a living space. Their design allows you to store a large amount of clothes and things. A properly designed dressing room can save space in other rooms.

Main types of devices

Such storage systems for dressing rooms can accommodate a certain room, a closet, or even a niche hidden behind a partition. The devices are presented:

  • panel complexes;
  • frames;
  • case models;
  • mesh installation.

Any variation will free up space as much as possible.

Bedroom:

Here, as a rule, you need to place clothes, replacement sets of bed linen and spare pillows and blankets for guests. For the latter, you can use the space under the bed (most modern beds are made with special drawers for linen). Clothes can be stored in the dressing room (separated with a partition or in a specially designated room). If space does not allow, you can use cabinets and cabinets.

In the photo: a fragment of a bedroom from a cottage project in the village. Raspberries.

Also, special cabinets and racks are installed on the balcony, in the bathroom, in the office. Definitely in the dressing room.

It is important that all storage systems are thought out at the interior design stage. In this case, they will definitely correspond in style, color and texture to the design of the room, and will also definitely fit into the space allocated for them. And, most importantly, there will be enough of them! And the problem of “clutter” simply won’t arise!

We will develop a design project “from” to “to”! We'll take care of every detail! Our interiors are not only beautiful, but also comfortable! Call!

Frame option

This type is a combination of wooden and metal elements. It uses the area from the floor surface to the ceiling. There is no back wall, which guarantees lightness.

The metal frame is complemented by drawers and shelves made of wood with the ability to change them and add rods. A two-level version is not excluded.

Using the device, the home is divided into zones. The only negative is that without stops, the laundry stack can slide off.

Metal storage systems (analogues of ELFA)

The task was: to optimally organize the pantry space with an area for storing a bunch of things.

I chose from the following storage systems:

  1. Elfa
  2. Storage systems from IKEA
  3. Storage system from Leroy Merlin (Leroy Merlin)
  4. Aristo (bought from Light-Wood)
  5. Larvij

Before choosing something specific, I found the following reviews online about the above systems: • Elfa – the highest quality system. But also the most expensive. If money allows, then it’s worth stopping at it. • Storage systems from IKEA - relatively cheap and have everything you need. But I was confused by the large amount of negativity on the Internet that the system was flimsy. I didn't watch it myself. • Storage system from Leroy Merlin - I didn’t find adequate reviews, I looked at it myself (I’ll give the review below). • Aristo – the quality is worse than, for example, Elfa, but the price is 30-40% lower. • Larvij – all moving elements are friction-based, no rollers. But the price is not high either.

Based on reviews from the network, I excluded the storage system from IKEA and Larvij from further consideration. I settled on Elfa, Aristo and a storage system from Leroy.

I went to see Elfa (I saw it at Nakhimovsky, 24 in the Expo Center). The system is really of very high quality, all the guides and supporting structures are fitted very well, no drawers fall out when pulled out to the extreme position, nothing gets loose. But a little expensive.

Aristo is cheaper than Elfa (I looked at “Your House” in Myakinino). The profile is aluminum, which is good. The stand with the baskets was very wobbly and did not hold its geometry well. I brought this to the attention of the sales manager. She replied that this was an exhibition piece that was many years old, and this would not happen in the new Aristo. And I believed that it was my mistake. Buyers, believe YOUR EYES... but first things first. In fact, the very wobbly baskets in the exhibition sample can be said to be ideal compared to what I have. Additionally, I also have drawers falling out.

Storage system from Leroy Merlin - price level similar to Aristo. Better quality than Aristo. It’s a pity that I saw it after I ordered Aristo. Otherwise I would have chosen her.

If I were choosing now, I would choose Elfa. If you need it on a budget, I would choose from Leroy. If you still decide to take Aristo, then don’t make the following mistakes:

  • do not order installation from Aristo, it is better to do it yourself or a friend;
  • do not order racks with baskets - even the “specialists” themselves from Light-Wood (Aristo dealer) said that the quality of the rack is low - it is impossible to install these baskets properly in principle. They only said this after the purchase, unfortunately;
  • Don’t trust delivery from Light-Wood that “we often don’t deliver something, but then we’ll definitely deliver it...”. Write directly on the delivery note that such and such was not delivered.

But all the flowers and berries, as usual, were ahead.

The installer from Aristo (Light-Wood) was unable to assemble the basket with drawers; the drawers fell out with each extension, even to half the depth; the stand with baskets did not hold its shape, constantly sagging. I called the claims department and reported this. And also that I’m leaving the storage system, but I want to return the drop-out baskets! I was told that the master would fix everything. The master came again and fixed it in a very specific way - he bent the even vertical guide with an arc!!! After this operation, the drawers stopped falling out, as well as moving out.

After such a “correction”, I drew up a work acceptance certificate with the foreman, where he indicated that the drawers were jamming and the stand could not be stable. The master installer also signed the document and took his copy. After that, I called the Light-Wood complaints department again, to which they seriously suggested that I screw a sheet of chipboard or hardboard to the back wall of the rack to give it stability!!! And this is an Aristo dealer! They said that they could not solve the problem otherwise. I said that I was not satisfied with this decision, let them issue a refund.

On October 4, 2013, in order to process the return, I needed to write a statement addressed to General Director Boygo Y.K., where I indicated that the installer could not solve the problems with the boxes and asked to issue a return of the rack with boxes. When writing a statement at the Light-Wood sales showroom, where I bought Aristo, the sales manager in front of me called GenDir and talked to him about my problem. As soon as the problem was described, the tube literally exploded - the director did not want to issue a return and said that I myself refused to screw the chipboard to the back wall.

A month passed and there was no reaction to my application. On November 15, 2013, I wrote a second statement, where I indicated that the claims department had stopped answering my calls and that the problem had not been resolved. Today is January 2014 - no call, no letter. Boygo calculated correctly; I won’t run around the courts and OPP because of one stand - time is more valuable.

PS If the director’s conscience awakens, dear reader, and he decides that his reputation is more valuable than his vile attitude towards the client, I will write additionally about this. So far (January 2014) the situation has not changed.

My own conclusions that I made for myself regarding Aristo:

  • the drawers of the Aristo storage system fall out, the technicians are unable to solve the problem;
  • the level of service at the Aristo dealer (Light-Wood) is below par;
  • if we take a storage system, then Elfa or Leroy.

Modular sections

These are classic ensembles that have considerable weight due to the presence of sides, bottom, top and back. Such systems of wardrobe items are placed on the wall and secured with fasteners.

They often contain laminated chipboard. Pros:

  1. Affordable price.
  2. The richest color range.
  3. Modular blocks allow you to create the desired design.
  4. The set can be easily expanded with new structures.
  5. Assembly is carried out by the owners.

The disadvantage is the simplicity of the forms, which is more suitable for a modern environment.

Podium with drawers

There is no room for anything at all in the studio apartment. And you need to put here at least a bed, a desk, an armchair and a wardrobe. No, you don't need a closet. Instead, use a podium under the bed, the potential capacity of which is not inferior to the volume of a large closet. Drawers, also known as steps, look elegant and work perfectly in the interior.

Mesh models

These complexes represent the hanging method. The surface is equipped with a horizontal frame, and vertical guide mechanisms with holes for attaching meshes and shelves are mounted on it. Advantages:

  • breathability;
  • saving space;
  • clothing review;
  • airy appearance.

Mesh wardrobe systems provide ventilation for things and guarantee that the required item can be quickly found.

Narrow shelves in the kitchen

Our next idea involves storing supplies and numerous jars and jars of grains, herbs and dried fruits. Not every apartment has a storage room or space for organizing it. In this case, elegant shelves in the kitchen will help solve both the storage problem and the decorative problem. The main thing is to choose beautiful jars and put them in one row.

Structure above the washing machine

What's on your washing machine? Combs, hairpins, hairpins, hair ties and all sorts of strange things for unknown reasons. Put them in a wicker basket and place them on a shelf or in a cabinet. Create a simple drying structure for towels and underwear above the washing machine. Once dried, the laundry was removed and the structure was folded. Elegant and comfortable.

Functional principles of filling

Proper organization of space is the main task to prevent clutter. The design should accommodate a seasonal wardrobe, bulky items and shoes.

Remember that hanging a garment on a hook causes it to become deformed. Filling methods have certain rules and features.

It is necessary to take into account: the number of components; calculation of the height of the bar with hangers and their number; external originality.

The presence of a full-fledged room will allow you to additionally insert sliding mirrors and an ironing board.

Aristo wardrobe systems are products that stand out for their highest quality. They additionally store household or sports equipment.

The structure is modeled using permutation. An important difference is the impressive working platform.

Custom wardrobe

The organization of space must be approached in advance, understanding the tasks and following a clear plan. Designers and experienced constructors, as a rule, use ready-made solutions for interior design, so they get high-quality results. Owners who have little idea of how best to store things in the house are better off using the service of building a custom-made wardrobe. In this case, the specialists themselves will design and manufacture furniture, taking into account its operating conditions and the needs of the home owners.

includes:

  • room measurement;
  • development of functional areas;
  • production of structural elements;
  • delivery;
  • installation.

The cost of a custom wardrobe will depend on the following factors:

  • the amount of material used (solid wood, chipboard and MDF sheets, plastic, metal, mirrors, glass, etc.);
  • quality of mechanisms and accessories;
  • level of complexity of manufacturing and installation;
  • design design.

Since furniture is chosen to last for years, experts advise not to skimp on cheap building materials and fasteners.

Recommendations for choosing a custom-made dressing room:

  1. It is necessary to model the appearance of the structure in advance, select the required number of shelves, hangers, racks and other elements.
  2. Places for storing the most popular items should be located in such a way that you can quickly and conveniently take the necessary item.
  3. If there is a possibility of the structure moving around the apartment, then it is better to order a modular wardrobe system.
  4. When there are no free rooms in the apartment, you can use a closet or part of the room to store things. As a rule, 3-4 m2 of free space is enough for a wardrobe.

If we compare the cost of manufacturing large wardrobes and a compact custom-made dressing room, then the second option will cost the home owners 1.5-2 times less. In addition, this way of organizing space will help to play with the design idea even in a small apartment.

Hanging accessories

There must be several such details. It is recommended to have:

  1. High frame (170 cm) for long coats and raincoats.
  2. The bars are lower (100 cm), which are used for short jackets, blazers, and sweatshirts.
  3. Pantograph that moves freely up and down.

The angle will give a chance to apply a spiral distribution. A position on the wall will be economical. Trouser hangers are available in single and double versions; they are attached no less than 60 cm from the baseboard.

Stages of self-organization of a dressing room

We will analyze step by step how to plan and make a dressing room yourself.

Planning

This is a very important stage at which a detailed plan for the future storage system is built. It is important to correctly determine the type and location of the filling. To avoid mistakes, we suggest you follow a few simple steps.

  1. We determine how many people will use the wardrobe. Ideally, each user should have their own zone.
  2. We determine what should be stored indoors. In addition to shoes and clothing, this can be bed and table linen, home textiles, travel bags, sports or household equipment.
  3. We sort things. We find out what will be stored on the shelves and what will be hung. Based on this, we determine the number of rods and shelves or baskets. Be sure to make an increase “in reserve”, because over time the number of things changes.
  4. Determine the height of the rods for long clothes. To do this, we measure the longest models.
  5. We draw up a sketch of the filling of the wardrobe. At the same time, we take into account the tier. We use the middle tier for clothes that are often used. We lift seasonal items, travel bags, equipment, and home textiles to the upper tier. Shoes are often stored on the lower tier. Knowing the number of shelves and rods, we build a rough plan.
  6. We supplement the approximate diagram with dimensions. For clarity, we cut out models of cabinets and shelves from paper exactly to scale and place them on the plan. We move, selecting the optimal placement. We make a list of the necessary equipment and add it to the plan.

The scheme obtained in this way is further refined. If possible, you should create private areas for all wardrobe users. It would be good if there was room for a large mirror, pouf or bench.

2. Lighting

The room must have a light source, preferably more than one. For overhead lighting, choose built-in spotlights or a flat chandelier. It will not interfere when changing clothes. It is optimal to select lamps with a warm shade that is as close as possible to natural light. They distort colors the least, which is very important when choosing an outfit. You can highlight the mirror area, shelves and interior parts of cabinets.

LED strips or flat lamps are also installed here. A good solution would be to install a sensor that will turn on the lighting when the door is opened. We need to consider the need to install an outlet. You may need more than one. Especially if the room is large and has an ironing corner.

3. Ventilation

A tightly closed room must be ventilated. Otherwise, the clothes will become saturated with a musty smell. The best, but most difficult option is to install forced ventilation. To do this, a ventilation hole is installed in the upper part of the wall, which is connected to the general ventilation system. An exhaust fan is installed in the hole. Its operation is programmed by a timer or the device starts when the lights are turned on.

To bring in fresh air, you can also install a special ventilation grille in the door leaf. If it is not possible to install forced ventilation, install unsealed doors, for example, folding doors or blinds. A ventilation grille in a swing door leaf will also help. This will ensure natural air exchange. If this is not possible, you will have to periodically leave the doors open for ventilation.

Partition installation and finishing

Installation of the partition wall begins with the installation of the frame. It is assembled from a metal profile or a wooden block. The finished structure is sheathed with gypsum board sheets or any other suitable material. Joints and dents from fasteners are sealed with putty, seams and corners are reinforced with sickle. The dried putty is cleaned off. Now the base is ready for finishing. This could be painting, in which case it is better to apply an additional layer of putty, or wallpapering.

The inside of the wardrobe also needs finishing. They are finishing the ceiling and installing lamps. Then the covering is laid on the floor. It can be the same as in the whole house, or any other. The walls are painted or wallpapered. If the surfaces are uneven, it is advisable to level them before finishing. Otherwise, difficulties may arise when installing the filling. Doors are installed last, if provided for by the project.

Storage system installation

The filling assembly is carried out in a fully finished room. It is easier to assemble systems purchased in a store. They always come with detailed instructions that must be followed exactly. It is a little more difficult to install a filling designed independently. A pre-made diagram will help. The cut parts are laid out in the next room and gradually assembled on site. They start with one of the walls, then move on to the next ones. After the base is ready, the retractable and hanging blocks are put in place.

Drawers and shelves

A closed variety is preferable as it does not allow dust to pass through. Large containers can accommodate both linen and bedding.

Compact drawers will contain jewelry and accessories and have special dividers. Shelves with a width of 30-40 cm are tightly fixed, folded or pulled out.

Mezzanines are made wider for dimensional attributes.

Required tools and materials

Dressing room partitions can be made of different materials. Most often, plasterboard or wood boards such as chipboard, plywood, etc. are used. If this option is implemented, then to assemble the frame you will need a metal profile or wooden blocks. Self-tapping screws are used as fasteners. The finished partition is puttied, smoothing out traces of fastenings, then painted or wallpaper is pasted.

The filling can be purchased. This is the case with mesh and tubular systems. You can assemble cabinet furniture with your own hands. To do this, they order chipboard cutting according to their measurements or recut parts from disassembled old cabinets or tables. In the latter case, after final assembly, new racks and shelves are painted to make the structure look aesthetically pleasing.

If a closed system is being installed, doors will also be needed. They can be anything: swing, accordion or compartment. The last option is chosen most often. Before making sliding doors to the dressing room, special attention should be paid to the quality of the fittings. It is important to select the rollers and guides according to the weight of the canvas and install them correctly. Otherwise they will not be able to work normally.

Boxes and baskets

Such containers, whose base is wood, plastic, and sometimes fabric, contain items that do not wrinkle. They are installed on a support, but they can be moved on attached wheels.

The Leroy Merlin wardrobe system allows for the purchase of individual items to later assemble a complete ensemble. The manufacturer is known for its extensive range with budget offers.

Cabinet and panel systems

It is very easy and simple to assemble cabinet wardrobes with your own hands, which consist of lower, upper and side walls. The individual sectional elements are fixed to each other using ties, positioned along the wall. The production uses elements made of laminated chipboard, which are made to order for individual measurements.

Panel wardrobe systems consisting of one decorative panel are convenient to use. Sections are attached to it, intended for storing things in a dressing room that does not have a ceiling, floor or side dividers.

Quite often, panel systems are used for more than just hanging clothes and hiding shoes. Wardrobes can be placed along walls that have defects.

Nuances of ergonomics

Convenience and efficiency are achieved by following these tips:

  • use plenty of hangers to avoid clutter;
  • fill the walls with removable shelves and hooks;
  • the baskets will be filled with small items and children's items;
  • by grouping your wardrobe by shade, you will immediately find what you are looking for;
  • For frequently worn outfits, make sure they are easily accessible.

Using the help of a designer, you can order the ideal product, taking into account individual needs, and then equip it with the necessary parts.

By calculating the space correctly, you will get a rational device. Some masters resort to independent creativity and get good results.

The finished product is offered in specialized stores. elfa wardrobe systems are characterized by functionality and practicality.

The company from Sweden has the status of the founder of mesh devices. For many years she has been improving her models. This is a global brand whose advantages are spaciousness and compactness.

Features of interior space planning

Wardrobe storage systems attract people because they are light, elegant, and can organically fit into any design and interior of the room. Wardrobes must be functional, and for this it is necessary to think through the filling of the dressing room down to the smallest detail.

The filling for the dressing room consists of such elements as:

  • Shelves.
  • Hangers.
  • Pantographs.
  • Baskets.
  • Boxes.
  • Shelving.

The number of these elements is determined at the stage of choosing a location for built-in wardrobes. Once it is selected, each section is planned individually. This way you can avoid unnecessary financial expenses, which is why residents install mostly cabinet sections in their apartments. A metal, mesh, modular or panel wardrobe can contain from two to five sections with doors. For shelves and racks, you need to take into account their sizes, the distances between them, and the placement of hangers on the rod.

Before purchasing a dressing room, you should familiarize yourself with the various collections of this type of furniture. The filling of a dressing room is influenced by a person’s individual lifestyle, his preferences, wishes, features of the apartment and the room where the closet will be located. Any element or piece of furniture in a living space can be combined with a dressing room, resulting in the creation of original systems for placing things, storing clothes, shoes and accessories.

Often, residents of apartments or houses do not know how to properly plan the filling of a closet. Special design programs come to the rescue, helping you choose the most optimal filling of the dressing room. Design kits can be found on the Internet or on the websites of companies that produce frame wardrobes. You can use the programs both online and after installing the designer-planner on your computer or laptop.

To plan the internal content of the storage system, you need to enter the following parameters into the system:

  • Height, width and depth of the wardrobe.
  • Number of internal shelves - side and bottom.
  • Placement of barbells and trousers.
  • Number of baskets;
  • Box parameters.
  • Place for shoes, suitcases and bags.
  • Hooks for accessories, etc.

The most popular designer-planners are online programs from Ikea, Aristo and Elfa. After entering all the necessary parameters, the system will create a three-dimensional model of the wardrobe. If the person likes everything, then you can save the proposed planning and then use it when installing the internal modules of the dressing room.

Photos of wardrobe systems

Shoe storage

For the convenience and safety of shoes, they should be stored:

  • in plastic transparent containers,
  • on open shelves, bedside tables
  • or in a cabinet with drawers, stands, rotating shelves,
  • in modular storage systems
  • and even in pockets sewn with your own hands.

Seasonal shoes can be removed from the hallway onto the mezzanine or into the dressing room.

Tidying up the bathroom

The bathroom is the smallest room in the house, but it should fit SO MANY small things (skin care products, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, gels, toothbrushes and pastes, towels, bathrobe, slippers, detergents, powders, conditioners) that You can’t do without life hacks. To hide some of this “ugliness” you can use decorative containers and jars.

The rest can be placed on a rack, placed on multi-level or combined shelves, or placed in wire baskets.

Cleanliness and comfort in the nursery

In the children's room, you need to provide storage of things, toys and organize the child's workplace (stationery, creative supplies).

For rational storage of all children's things you will need:

  • plastic (translucent) containers, boxes, boxes on wheels,
  • large boxes or baskets for toys,
  • spacious closet with shelves and hanger bar,
  • open shelving for books and souvenirs (for a small room - built-in),
  • stationery stand, desk and chair,
  • hanging shelves, hooks on the wall.

In addition to their direct purpose (quick access to things and saving space), storage systems will help protect things from dust and mechanical influences and keep them intact.
