Features of Vitra tiles

Turkish ceramic tiles have become widely in demand, largely due to the optimal combination of high quality and reasonable cost. The VitrA catalog presents a wide range of different tile collections, which allows customers to choose models in accordance with aesthetic preferences, as well as quality and performance requirements.

The brand's affiliation with Eastern countries was noticeably reflected in the colors and patterns of the background tiles, borders and inserts of VitrA tiles. The traditional colors of Turkish porcelain tiles are blue and white, complemented by decorated patterns.

Today, ceramic tiles produced in Turkey are represented by a bright variety of colors, characteristic of the characteristic features of this country.

Another feature of the VitrA tile decor is the absence of images of plants and animals. But the tile collections surprise with their contrasting lines, unusual patterns and rich colors. Turkish tiles will be an excellent solution for tiling baths, saunas, swimming pools and bathrooms if the buyer is a fan of oriental exoticism.

The main advantages of VitrA tiles:

  • strength, wear resistance, frost resistance;

Pompei

Reviews:

  1. Ivan. Pompei. I have extensive experience working with different types of Turkish Vitra tiles, but one of the most rewarding ones to work with is the Pompei collection. The rectified material has high-quality sawn edges, so there are no seams left during installation. The elements fit together without any problems. Only once did I encounter uneven corners in several tiles in a batch, but I managed to disguise them - the customer was satisfied.
  2. Lily. I was looking for an elegant porcelain tile for the living room with a carpet effect - the Bellagio collection perfectly matched the classic style of the interior of my room. I was pleased with the quality no less than the design. Over the course of a year, the coating has not worn out or faded. And most importantly, the porcelain stoneware is matte, so it does not slip at all.

Complex rulers

Arkitekt Color

Bergamo – art deco style finishes. The base wall and floor tiles are made of porcelain stoneware, the smooth surface of which replicates the finish of rough marble. Decorative ceramic inserts have a relief texture and are decorated with geometric and floral patterns.

Versus is a laconic Vitra tile in a white and gray color scheme. The wall ceramics are painted in white tones and decorated with a wave-like relief pattern. The porcelain floor tiles are designed in gray and anthracite shades and have a glossy finish with marble imitation.

Versus

Reviews:

  1. Yuri. Arkitekt Color. I purchased a white and gray mosaic tile for the bathroom. I laid it on the walls myself - I fixed the tiles with special mosaic glue. The material is very durable, so there were difficulties with cutting and drilling holes: on the one hand, it was necessary to put in a lot of effort, but on the other hand, there were fears that the ceramic would crack. But, fortunately, the material was not deformed.
  2. Marina. Versus. I chose extraordinary tiles for the bathroom a year ago. During this time, she showed herself only on the good side: she was not scratched or cracked. The material does not slip and is easy to clean. Even the relief wall cladding does not cause any problems with cleaning.

  • Woodstock. This collection combines product options that imitate different types of trees. Floor samples are represented by false parquet made of oak, cherry and wenge.
  • Samba. The unique design of the collection is intended to create a modern, eco-friendly interior, in which you can feel the proximity of the warm ocean coast and the brightness of the Brazilian carnival. The series offers a variety of variations: natural wood textures can be organically combined with original decors that capture the elements of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
  • VitrA Doux. This is a range of ceramic tiles with imitation natural veneer. The peculiarity of the products is their square shape and the absence of traditional division into boards.

Wood cladding

Natural Life Wood is a matte Italon porcelain stoneware floor tile that imitates planed wood parquet. The products are presented in natural shades: bleached, light beige, walnut, dark brown. Basic samples are monocolor, and decorative ones have geometric prints.

Advice. Natural Life Wood tiles are designed for installation under imitation parquet laying in a herringbone or staggered pattern.

Maison is a porcelain tile floor covering that reproduces the texture of oiled walnut. The surface of the tile is matte with a velvety effect.

Maison

Timeless - porcelain floor tiles with imitation aged wood in pale shades. Tiles with pronounced decorative knots, natural color variations and traces of peeling. The collection includes matte and semi-polished products.

Reviews:

  1. Yuri. Timeless. Last year I installed glossy Italon tiles from this collection in the hallway. There were no problems in the work - the geometry of the samples was correct, there were no significant deviations in color, the surface of the products was at the same level, so there was no need to worry about adjusting the material. During the year of operation I also did not notice any shortcomings. My biggest fear was that the top gloss would wear off or be scratched, but so far there are no obvious defects.
  2. Catherine. Maison. I chose this Italon tile for two reasons: reasonable price and spectacular design. Thanks to the matte surface, the material is comfortable for the feet and does not slip. The only negative is that stains remain after washing, so each time you need to carefully “polish” the floor.

Pricing policy and purchasing methods

VitrA tiles are very diverse not only in terms of shades, formats and designs, but also in price categories. Manufacturers took care of creating budget collections, costing about 350 rubles per sq. m. m. You can purchase products in the middle price category (700-800 rubles per sq. m), as well as exclusive collections at high prices.

Sample catalogs are posted on the websites of the company and distributors. Products can be ordered here with home delivery, as well as in construction stores.

Mixed imitations

Surface – floor and wall matte porcelain tiles imitating natural stones, with a pronounced metallized surface. The products are decorated in rich shades of brown, bronze and black.

Surface

Element Silk is an Italon ceramic wall tile with an imitation of textile wallpaper with a silky effect. The samples have a matte surface and are painted in delicate shades of pink, beige, coffee and blue.

Basic – porcelain floor tiles imitating marble, with a muted metallic finish. All products in the line are monocolor with a matte, polished or structured surface. They are painted in pale shades of grey, beige, orange, green, turquoise, bronze, copper and black.

Basic

Reviews:

  1. Natalia. Basic. I chose gray tiles with a matte surface for the hallway. Among the main advantages are an affordable price, practical non-staining color, and non-slip coating. But after a year of using the cladding, the top layer was a little worn, and noticeable black dots appeared.
  2. Ivan. Surface. The main advantages of the finish are a noble appearance and an affordable price, both for the Russian market. But the quality leaves much to be desired! Already during installation we noticed that the edges of some tiles were uneven. In addition, when cutting, two elements crumbled.

As you can see, the Italon tile catalog is ready to satisfy the request of any consumer: floor and wall, porcelain stoneware and ceramic, with imitation stone, wood, cement and even mixed materials. But when choosing a finish, don't let the richness of the design fool you. Before you settle on a particular cladding, read reviews about it and evaluate photos in the interior to understand what the material is like in practice, and not just in theory.

User reviews

Oleg, 28 years old, Izhevsk

“I decided to start the bathroom renovation by selecting tiles. The budget was small, so I settled on VitrA Rock tiles. There were no problems with installation, since I bought all the elements accompanying the tiles at the store. The bathroom was immediately transformed, becoming comfortable and cozy. I’m very pleased with the choice and the result.”

Natalya, 42 years old, Ekaterinburg

“I wanted to create something exclusive in the kitchen, unlike anything else. The store advised me to look at VitrA Terra Nova tiles. The kitchen turned out to be in the style of a patchwork quilt. Very original and bright. I'm so happy! Now I don’t want to leave the kitchen. I think I’ll also pick up something from this company’s range for the bathroom.”

Svetlana, 33 years old, St. Petersburg

“I really love everything connected with hot Africa, so to decorate the bathroom I chose the Kenya collection from the Turkish company VitrA. The design turned out to be truly unique! I’m glad that manufacturers are concerned about customers with unusual tastes and preferences.”

Ivan, 41 years old, Moscow

“For tiling the bathroom I decided to choose tiles from VitrA (Woodstock series). The room looks very stylish, elegant and reliable. I think that the tiles will last for many years, since the manufacturer provides the buyer with a high guarantee.”

Tips for choosing

If you are not chasing newfangled novelties, then purchase tiles from old VitrA collections. Typically, these samples are sold at a discounted price, and you can save a lot. But those who want to be in trend should remember that tiles that imitate natural stone are always in fashion. But the cost of such samples is quite high, so the tiles are suitable for wealthy people.

It is noteworthy that none of the VitrA collections contain specimens with designs depicting plants and animals. That is why this tile is now very relevant: simple and complex geometric patterns are found in many collections.

Some VitrA collections include several shades and decor options. If you want to get an original design, you can safely combine several sample options in one room. Manufacturers took care in advance about the combination of colors and patterns between tiles of the same series.

"Cement" tiles

Artwork – Italon floor tiles in a Mediterranean style. The line includes two types of matte finish:

  • porcelain stoneware base - monocolor in shades of gray, beige and white;
  • ceramic – multi-colored patchwork style decors.

Artwork
Urban is a porcelain stoneware tile with an imitation of a rough, almost street, cement surface. The collection includes three types of floor and wall products:

  • background - semi-polished and matte samples of gray, beige, brown shades;
  • decorative - structured inserts and borders to match the basic elements.

Advice.
Urban porcelain tiles have rectified edges, so they are laid with minimal seams, which allows you to achieve the effect of a solid pseudo-concrete sheet. Idea – porcelain stoneware floor tiles with a matte smooth surface. The products are monocolor - they are decorated in five classic colors: white, gray, beige, brown and graphite.

Idea

Reviews:

  1. Irina. Artwork. Two years ago we installed tiles from this factory on the kitchen floor. The appearance is not satisfactory; the original vintage decor gives the rich gray finish a certain elegance. But I can’t call the finish super durable: after just a few months of use, scratches appeared on the material under the legs of the kitchen cabinets and table.
  2. Alexander. Urban. Not the best, but not the worst tile in Russia. I laid the finishing on the floor of the corridor, the coating is durable and can withstand household impacts. True, after six months of use, the material has worn out a little at the threshold, but I think this is due to frequent walking on it in outer shoes.
