GOOD WOOD projects in picturesque places
A country house next to a forest or near a lake looks very natural. Especially a wooden house, which, with a competent approach to design, simply merges with nature. GOOD WOOD architects and designers know how to use the features of the landscape: they create beautiful individual projects so that the cottage fits into the surrounding landscape. But it is not at all necessary to develop unique drawings - you can choose a ready-made project for a house made of laminated veneer lumber and adapt it to the surrounding area. Our architects have developed dozens of designs for houses in the forest, when the construction site was surrounded by centuries-old pine trees, which the builders left untouched. There were no less projects of houses near the water, when we used the reservoir to the maximum, making it the central part of the composition, the main advantage. But enough words - we have some great illustrations of the work of GOOD WOOD architects.
Latitude
There are a lot of mansions in Bali, but Latitude is a special villa, which in 2012 was named the most luxurious on the island by CNN. This place is ideal for parties, weddings, receptions; it will be a very comfortable place to relax with a group of friends.
The building has 5 bedrooms, a huge swimming pool with canopies and sun loungers, 4 Jacuzzis. The chef works in the kitchen equipped with the latest technology.
A special feeling of spaciousness, freedom and lightness is felt in the living room thanks to transparent glass walls and high six-meter ceilings.
Cottage projects by the water
Some houses are painted on the shore of a reservoir - this is done not only to present the project more spectacularly. This is how the architect shows that a future cottage can be built in any conditions - if the house looks good by the river, it means it won’t get lost surrounded by neighbors. To maintain the theme of water, you can organize a landscape landscape in the “dry stream” style, a flower garden with decorative bridges or a fountain.
Option for placing a house according to the SV-8 project near a reservoir. The blue shade of SV-8 in the picture harmoniously combines with the surface of the lake. Panoramic windows (the house belongs to the “Stained Glass” series) are directed towards the pond. No pond? Turn the cottage towards the mountain, towards the far edge of the garden plot - in any direction where it will be pleasant to look.
Visual visualization - the house seems to have been created for construction on a pond. According to the drawings, it turns out that wooden houses were initially created to be close to nature. But when building in a cottage village, they take a piece of nature with them. It’s just that instead of the quiet surface of the water we see a neat lawn, and instead of huge pine trees we see smaller pine trees.
House in Tyumen The project is designed to turn towards a picturesque pond. The façade of an individual project in Tyumen faces a pond with panoramic windows—the family plans to relax on the terrace in the evenings and welcome the first rays of the sun. The architect introduced a maximum of translucent structures into the project, and moved the technical and utility rooms to the background.
House in St. Petersburg A custom-designed cottage was also designed taking into account the location of the reservoir. A living room with panoramic glazing and a large terrace on the second floor are a great way to enjoy the picturesque views.
Sunrise House
The luxurious villa, whose name translates as “sunrise”, is located on the Caribbean coast. Up to a dozen people can live inside. Here, on a separate secluded beach surrounded by thickets of coconut trees, you can enjoy the tropical sun and light warm wind to your heart's content, lying in a hammock stretched between palm trees.
Inside the villa there is a spacious living room, 5 bedrooms, a gym, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a home cinema and cozy terraces.
Examples of built houses
Projects are often drawn in picturesque places, and built in standard cottage villages. But sometimes it turns out the other way around - a typical cottage is converted for construction on a river, near a lake or in a forest. In this case, insolation, the distance to the reservoir and trees are taken into account, and the rotation of the structure is considered. With a competent approach to design and construction, we get a durable, natural and beautiful house with an amazing view from the windows.
SP-4 project in the Tyumen region An example of the use of a serial project in non-standard conditions is SP-4, which was built on the very shore with access to the water part. The cottage looks like a floating house - the terrace smoothly turns into a marina. Sitting on the porch you can dangle your feet in the water.
Photo of construction on the Volga The house is located on a slope, the view from the windows is simply stunning.
Finished terrace overlooking the river Pay attention to the landscape design - in the evenings the owners can stroll along the shore
The view of the river should be used as efficiently as possible - on this side there are usually seating areas and maximum glazing. If you rotate your home the right way, you can create a feeling of complete privacy.
The balcony and terrace in a house near the river always become a favorite place to relax
How to order the construction of a house near the water
The beauty of the project and the landscape are not enough to build a full-fledged residential building. The cottage must be properly designed, manufactured and built. When working near bodies of water, high humidity and the possibility of flooding are taken into account. If there are trees and a coastline nearby that it would be desirable to preserve, they think about how to make the delivery of materials and the construction process as gentle as possible.
